The David Spitzfaden Trio

The David Spitzfaden Trio is comprised of Baltazar Montoya on bass, Riku Myllykoski on drums, and David Spitzfaden on guitar and lead vocals. Meeting at Los Angeles College of Music, they quickly realized their combo was the perfect mix of stylistic diversity and devotion to excellent musicianship. This coupled with their strong work ethics, complimentary personalities, and a desire to have fun, while putting on the best show possible, inspired them to create The David Spitzfaden Trio in December of 2020. Now, all graduates of LACM, they are frequently hired to perform at many special events, private parties, celebrations, and venues throughout California, including the legendary Rainbow Bar and Grill and Hard Rock Café, in Hollywood. They’ve also played at The NAMM Show and The San Diego County Fair, for the last couple of years. Performing a mix of blues rock, R&B, funk, jazz fusion, and pop—originals and covers—they take their audiences on a unique musical journey. Their uplifting, playful, and positive spirits create an exciting and welcoming atmosphere at their shows—that virtually any and every demographic can enjoy. Known for being friendly and easy to connect with, everyone who attends a David Spitzfaden Trio show not only enjoys the live music—but also gets a chance to feel a warm sense of community with the band and all present.
